OFFICE VOLUNTEER

This is a patient facing role which includes checking patients in, helping patients fill out intake paperwork, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls.

VOLUNTEER PATIENT TECH

Patient Techs are primarily responsible for patient intake. This includes accurately and efficiently obtaining a patient's height, weight, vital signs, allergies, and reason for visit. Additionally, patient techs may be asked to assist in other tasks such as clinic preparation and clean up as well as various point of care lab tests (blood glucose, hemoglobin a1c, urinalysis, hematocrit, rapid strep throat culture, and urine pregnancy tests). We ask that you are able to commit to one 3 hour shift per week for a minimum of 4 months.

VOLUNTEER MEDICAL SCRIBE

Scribes are primarily responsible for documenting patient encounters. Scribes must be able to type at least 60 words per minute.

VOLUNTEER DENTAL ASSISTANT

Assist dentists during dental procedures. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment. Prepare dental materials and instruments for procedures. Take and develop dental x-rays. Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions to patients. Maintain accurate patient records and charts. Perform other duties as assigned by the dental professionals.
